Create Your Own Estate Planning Documents

Wills, Trusts and Other Documents, Fast & Easy

Many persons do not require the level of expertise and complicated drafting techniques of skilled estate planning attorneys. These lawyers often complicate situations that can be simplified to a level that the client can understand and work with. And the fees for these complex plans are often too much for the client to swallow.

Automated estate documents are for simple family situations where a will with a simple minors trust will suffice. Other documents, such as an irrevocable trust for life insurance or other assets are needed to complete planning transactions and should not take weeks (or even months) to prepare. In most cases, we can have documents to you in 3 to 4 days.

What Our Clients Say

Estate Planning Document Automation FAQ'S

  • How are my automated documents prepared?

Once you make a purchase, you will receive an electronic receipt which will contain links to relevant forms you will need to complete to create your documents. Click on each link and follow the directions carefully. Failure to follow directions precisely may result in mistakes in your documents. Your input is then merged into our legal templates and reviewed by one of our attorneys. The document(s) are then sent to you in both MS Word and PDF formats, along with instructions to sign, witness and notarize your new agreements. Execution (the process of signing your documents) can be arranged in our Clark, NJ office for an additional fee.

  • Can I request changes to my documents once they are created?

Generally, no. Inadvertent mistakes may be corrected at our discretion, but changes to the document outside of our predetermined templates are only available for additional fees.

  • How do I sign my new documents?

Each purchase includes comprehensive signing instructions that most people will find easy to follow. If you are not comfortable with this responsibility, you can arrange a signing meeting at our office or request a referral to a mobile notary service. In either case, additional fees will apply.

  • Do my documents need to be Notarized?

A Notary Public is authorized by a government authority to witness and acknowledge that you or others signed in his or her presence. Many estate planning documents (wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives) require one or more witnesses and an independent notary. In most cases, business agreements only require a person witness your signature.

  • Can I purchase documents for states other than New Jersey?

While our attorneys are admitted to practice by the NJ bar, we will provide business documents in a nonlegal, advisory capacity which you should have reviewed by local counsel.

  • How is our service different than LegalZoom or RocketLawyer?

Unlike their services, our documents are prepared by our attorneys. Both LegalZoom and RocketLawyer state that they do not provide advice in a legal capacity.
